Combine adventure and cultural tourism on our Lunahuaná & Cerro Azul Day Trip, which includes rafting on the Cañete River. You'll also taste the wine and honey produced in this incredible part of Peru.
Description
Between 5 am and 6:20 am, we'll pick you up from the different meeting points located in Lima. Once we're all on the minibus, we'll drive south for 2 hours until we reach the city of Mala. We'll stop here so you can have breakfast.
We'll then get back on the road and continue our journey to Cerro Azul. When we arrive, you'll have 2 hours of free time to explore this lively district. You'll be able to stroll through its streets filled with handicraft shops, go to the beach or stroll along its famous pier.
After taking lots of fantastic pictures of Cerro Azul, we'll head to Lunahuaná. Time for an adventure! We'll put our helmets on and get kitted out with the equipment we'll need for our adrenaline-packed rafting activity on the Cañete River.
Following our exhilarating rafting activity, we'll return to dry land and take a guided tour of Lunahuaná. We'll visit its square and church before going up to a natural viewpoint where we'll look out at the breathtaking sight of Cañete Valley. After our tour, you'll have 1 hour to eat lunch.
In the afternoon, we'll head to the La Reina de Lunahuaná winery to learn about the laborious work they do to produce wines and piscos - which we'll get to taste! We'll then visit a nearby beekeeping farm and delve into the tradition of honey production. Here, we'll try some of their delicious honey.
It'll then be time to return to Lima, where we'll arrive at around 9 pm.
