Lima Pyramids & El Olivar Park Free Tour
Lima Pyramids & El Olivar Park Free Tour
Having met at 9 am in front of the Huaca Pucllana Museum, which is dedicated to one of the Peruvian capital's main archaeological sites, we'll start our free tour.
After making our introductions, we'll take a guided tour of the Huaca Pucllana Archaeological Site and learn all about its famous pyramid complex from the 5th century AD. We'll answer some of the burning questions you may have about these fascinating archaeological remains. Who built them? What was their purpose?
Our tour will continue to El Olivar Park, which is one of the most spectacular green spaces in the district of San Isidro. You'll see how this green lung is located in an exclusive area of Lima and is surrounding by numerous embassies. In addition, some of Peru's best-known restaurants are located around this park.
From El Olivar Park, we'll go to Huaca Huallamarca. When we get to this important archaeological site, which has been declared a place of Peruvian Cultural Heritage, we'll climb to the top of its truncated pyramid. As we admire views of Lima, we'll learn who built this construction back in 200 BC.
We'll say our goodbyes at 11:15 am at the Huaca Huallamarca Archaeological Complex, which you can continue exploring at your leisure.
