Miraflores Free Tour
Tour Details
Welcome to Lima! We'll meet at the indicated time at the Tourist Information Center in Kennedy Park, the starting point of our free tour of Miraflores. Ready to start exploring this district?
Our first stop is at June 7 Park, which owes its name to a historic battle in 1880 against the Chilean invasion. We'll stroll through the tranquil park grounds as we learn about the men who died in the Battle of Arica in defense of Peru.
Next up, we'll head to Kennedy Park, known for its street food stalls, its fairs, and, of course, as the “Park of Cats”. Here, we'll tell you the history and curiosities of this popular green space as we spot almost 100 resident cats lounging about.
From here, we'll head to the Parroquia Virgen Milagrosa Church, an architectural jewel that you cannot miss. Then, we'll visit the Inca Market, where the best of Peruvian artisanal craft is on display. We'll stroll through the many stalls and booths full of colorful souvenirs like scarves made with baby alpaca fur, ceramics, jewelry, and even musical instruments.
Close by to Kennedy Park, we'll stroll down Pasaje San Ramón, which is full of local bars and pubs. Then, we'll make our way to the romantic Parque del Amor, a favorite place for couples in love. Here, you will be able to admire the famous sculpture of the Kiss and continue enjoying the sea views.
Last up, we'll head to Larcomar, the main shopping center of Miraflores. This isn't your ordinary shopping mall—we'll find over 100 shops, 15 restaurants, a movie theater, and a dance club. What makes this mall especially stand out is the open-air floor plan allowing for an incredible panoramic view of the Costa Verde in Lima.
Finally, we'll head to a rooftop bar to enjoy a pisco sour, the national drink of Peru. Then, after 3 hours of sightseeing, we'll conclude this free tour, see you next time!
