Chorrillos Market Tour & Peruvian Cooking Class
Chorrillos Market Tour & Peruvian Cooking Class
Between 9:30 am and 10 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel and set off for one of the most traditional markets in Lima: Chorrillos Market.
In its stalls, we'll find a variety of typical products such as fruit, vegetables and spices, as well as the market's star product - fresh fish!
We'll discuss which ingredients are used most when preparing traditional Peruvian dishes. While we're at the market, an expert chef will help us to choose (and taste!) some of the best ingredients to cook with later.
It'll then be time to move on to the next part of the tour, which will be a cooking class. We'll use our ingredients to make delicious Peruvian dishes such as causa, a type of layered potato casserole made with yellow potatoes. Another dish we'll prepare is ceviche, a raw fish dish in a delicious zesty marinade, as well as pisco sour, a drink typical of Lima.
While you're stood at your stove, you'll have an incredible view of the Pacific Ocean. To round off a lovely day, we'll eat the dishes we've prepared for lunch, accompanied by beautiful views of Lima Bay.
After lunch, we'll finish our activity at 1:30 pm.
