Lima Campervan Hire
Lima Campervan Hire
If you'd like to explore Peru at your leisure, hiring a campervan in Lima is the perfect option for you. You can choose whether you'd like to hire your vehicle for 3 or 6 days, depending on how much time you'd like to spend visiting the wonders of Peru.
You can follow a route of your choice, but we recommend the following:
Lunahuaná - Cerro Azul (250 miles): Lunahuaná is a town located a 3 hours' drive from Lima and an ideal place for adventure sports such as canoeing and ziplining. It's also well-known for the production of pisco, a typical Peruvian liquor made from grapes that you'll definitely want to try! From there, you can go to Cerro Azul and relax on its fantastic beaches.
Paracas (250 miles): You can leave Lima behind as you head towards Paracas and drive through the inter-Andean valleys, Ayanucho and Ica, and make stops for sightseeing. Your second day could be spent in Paracas visiting the beaches of Yumaque, the salt flats of Otuma, the Laguna Grande or the Paracas Museum. On your last day, you could relax on Chaco Beach and try some delicious ceviche in one of the local restaurants.
Ruta del Agua (870 miles): As you set off from Lima and drive in the direction of Lunahuaná, you can go to Huancaya and see its striking emerald-coloured lagoons. In the afternoon, you could travel to Chupaca and visit its historic centre and the Arwaturo archaeological site. We also recommend making a trip to Huanta, also known as the Emerald of the Andes. On your fourth day, you could travel to Huaytará to see the colonial-style church of St. John the Baptist, which was built on Inca ruins.
