At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Lima and set off on our food tour of Callao, where the largest seaport in Peru is located.
Once we reach Callao, our foodie adventure will kick off with a delightful visit to the vibrant Minka market, where we'll immerse ourselves in the rich variety of fish and seafood from the South Pacific region. From there, we'll head to the renowned Rovira restaurant to savor their famous bread with silverside, a delicious local fish.
Next on our journey, we'll explore the town's historic port, once the most significant in South America during the viceroyalty era. We'll embark on a boat ride, gliding through the picturesque bay of Callao while our guide shares fascinating stories about life in this charming town.
After a refreshing boat trip, we'll disembark and visit a traditional "cevichera de carretilla," a local ceviche cart, where we'll get to experience the authentic flavors of the region. Following this delightful treat, we'll head to a cozy port-side restaurant for a captivating demonstration of ceviche and pisco sour preparation.
To satisfy our appetites, we'll indulge in a delectable lunch prepared with the freshest seafood products that will surely leave us wanting more.
As our unforgettable culinary journey comes to an end, we'll take you back to your hotel in Lima.
