Leticia Kayaking + Abseiling & Ziplining Activity
When making your booking, you'll be able to choose the activity you like the most or a combination of the two. Each activity will start at the scheduled time in front of the Ethnological Museum and leave you with an unforgettable memory of the Amazon rainforest.
Kayak Tour
If you opt for the kayak tour, we'll head for Yahuarcaca Lake. We'll spend around 3 to 4 hours kayaking through the lush vegetation and different species surrounding this lake in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.
We'll discuss the Amazon's incredible biodiversity and the lifestyle of its communities of indigenous people as we row around the Yahuarcaca. Afterwards, we'll get our strength back with a picnic lunch before returning to the starting point in Leticia.
Abseiling & Ziplining
Once we've all arrived and made our introductions, we'll head to Kilometre 11 to start a 10-minute walk through the Amazon rainforest. We'll then arrive at the platform where we'll go through the basic safety regulations and familiarise ourselves with our canyoning equipment. Let's get our helmets, ropes and harnesses on and set off!
We'll ascend to a height of about 131 feet (40 metres) by abseiling through the Amazon rainforest until we reach the zipline platform. From here, you'll glide over the treetops! Following this 3-to-4-hour activity, we'll have lunch in the open air before returning to the starting point in Leticia.
Abseiling & Ziplining + Kayaking
In this instance, we'll do both activities on the same day. We'll follow the signposted abseiling and ziplining route and then, after lunch, we'll go to Yahuarcaca Lake to kayak.
