Amazon Three Borders Trip

We'll start the trip from the Colombian city of Leticia, where we pick you up at 7.30 am at Carrera 11. We then hop on a vehicle that'll take us to the
Amazon for an exciting boat ride on the Amazon River. We'll explore the point where Peru, Colombia, and Brazil all meet in the Amazon.

Our first stops will be the villages of Benjamin and Islandia. Did you know that Islandia is often referred to as the 'Peruvian Venice'?

We will then sail down the Yavari River for 25 minutes and stop at the Sacambu Reserve. There we'll go piranha fishing, and we'll also get to see the locals doing it themselves. Then, we'll visit a very special lagoon to take a dip in its both hot and cold waters.

In the Sacambu Reserve we'll enjoy a traditional Peruvian lunch. After replenishing our energy stores, we'll go in search of macaws, toucans and monkeys, so cameras ready and eyes sharp!

Lastly, we'll disembark and take you back to the starting point in Leticia, ending the tour at 5 pm.

Un día absolutamente maravilloso. El río estaba bastante bajo por lo que la navegación tuvo que ser con mucho cuidado, tanto el guía como el capitán hicieron todo para que nos sintiéramos seguros y disfrutáramos del paseo. Lo mejor sin duda fue la visita a la reserva de animales rescatados, un precioso proyecto donde pudimos compartir con Minos muy amigables que se nos subían, vimos boas, aves y pescamos pirarucú. An absolutely wonderful day. The river was quite low so navigation had to be very careful, both the guide and the captain did everything to make us feel safe and enjoy the ride. The best thing without a doubt was the visit to the rescued animals reserve, a beautiful project where we were able to share with very friendly Minos that came up to us, we saw boas, birds and fished for pirarucú. Amazon Best Experience was the local provider for this tour. I contacted them via WhatsApp the day before the tour and everything went smoothly. This local tour company (Amazon Best Experience) is the best in Leticia and Wilmer Salazar Toro is simply the best tour guide for the Amazons. Honest, punctual and funny. I highly recommend to hire services directly with the local tour provider to avoid any issues and if you use Civitatis, contact the local provider in advance.

The provider was excellent. This one day trip happened on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. The tour began at 7:30 AM in the Leticia meeting point. In this trip we have fished piranhas, saw pink dolphins and pirarucus. We had different species of monkeys climbed on us and took a picture of huge anaconda snake on our shoulders. Mr. Arturo was truly amazing guy. The tour was definitely worth it and highly recommended for a day tour.
