Leeds Walking Tour
At 10:30 am we'll meet in front of the Town Hall, the perfect place to start this guided walking tour of Leeds.
Leaving the Town Hall behind, we'll approach the central City Square, where we'll see the different statues that decorate the square, among which we highlight the statue of Edward "The Black Prince." Why are there eight nude nymphs holding lamps in this esplanade? We'll find out on the tour!
Continuing through the streets of the city, we'll arrive at the Leeds Corn Exchange, a Victorian-style shopping center and a perfect example of how well Leeds combines the old with the new.
Leeds is actually a great city for shopping. After visiting the Corn Exchange, we'll stroll through Kirkgate Market, one of the largest indoor markets in Europe.
Finally, we'll check out Victoria Quarter, a network of interconnected, covered shopping spaces full of marble, mosaics, cast and wrought iron and carved mahogany - another of Leeds' hidden gems.
The guided tour will end at noon outside of Victoria Quarter.
