We'll meet at the established time at Vico de Argenteris 16A, where we'll set off on this tour of the best wineries in Lecce. Did you know that many of the most famous wines in Italy come from the Salento region of Puglia?
Once we delve into the historic old town of Lecce, we'll begin learning the secrets of the Salento wine tradition and the unique culture of this southeastern Italian town. We'll visit the top wine shops in the area, where we'll get to taste Negroamaro, Primitivo, and Susumaniello wines, produced in some of the oldest vineyards in Salento.
The colors, smells, and spectrum of tastes of these ancient wines will overwhelm your senses as you learn to appreciate their nuances. We'll also have the opportunity to admire the rich heritage of Lecce as we pass by historic buildings such as Porta Napoli or the Basilica of Santa Croce, which we'll see as we move from winery to winery.
After paying a visit to the ruins of the Roman theater and amphitheater, and end our wine tour in Piazza del Duomo three hours after the start.
