Ionian Coast Trip from Lecce
We will pick you up at your hotel in Lecce, before heading to Nardò, the second-largest city in the Salento region. There, we will explore the historic center, where you will encounter the city's magnificent Cathedral and the Church of Saint Dominic. We will also take a step back in time to the Middle Ages at the Castle of Acquaviva.
The next stop on the journey is at the ruins of the Torre Uluzzo watchtower, which dates back to 1575. From here, you will enjoy fantastic panoramic views of the coastline before we hit the road once more.
We will then visit the small coastal town of Santa Caterina, the fishing village of Santa Maria al Bagno, and the Four Columns medieval fort. Strolling through the historic streets of these traditional communities, you will feel like a true local!
The last stop on our adventure is at the charming coastal town of Gallipoli. The imposing 14th-century city walls hide a strong Ancient Greek and Roman heritage. Here, you can relax on its beaches, visit the cathedral, and enter the magnificent castle to learn all about the town's history and the fascinating story behind its name.
We will finish the excursion in Lecce, where we will accompany you to your accommodation.
