Alberobello, Polignano a Mare, & Ostuni Trip
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Porta Napoli in Lecce to begin this excursion to Alberobello, Polignano a Mare, and Ostuni – three of the most beautiful towns in Apulia!
After an hour's drive, we'll arrive at the first stop, Ostuni, nicknamed the "White City" of Apulia. There, you'll have free time to explore this medieval town full of whitewashed houses. Did you know that its old town is known by the name "La Terra"? It's characterized by narrow streets, steep stairways, courtyards, and small squares with a great atmosphere!
Then, we'll get back in the car and drive through a landscape of ancient olive trees to reach Alberobello. You'll be able to explore this town, which is a World Heritage Site that stands out for its architecture, at your own pace. Its historic center is composed of numerous white houses with conical roofs, aka the famous trulli.
In Alberobello, you can visit the neighborhoods of Rione Monti and its craft stores and Aia Piccola, where the oldest trulli are located. After falling in love with Alberobello, we'll continue the tour by descending towards the Adriatic Sea to make a last stop in Polignano a Mare.
This town is located on the top of a cliff that has breathtaking views! Here, you can discover on your own its beautiful historic center of labyrinthine streets and squares with numerous stores and restaurants. You can also see the Roman ruins, such as the Via Traiana bridge.
Finally, after 8 hours of excursion, we'll arrive back at the starting point in Lecce.
