French Cheeses & Drinks Workshop
Become a French Cheese Connoisseur
At the indicated time, make your way to La Parenthèse, located at 43 Avenue René Coty in Le Havre. Ready for a delicious culinary experience?
We’ll start with a brief introduction to the cheeses and drinks we’ll be tasting, and delve into the fascinating science of food pairing. You’ll learn how the complexities of cheese and drink combinations create a symphony of flavours.
To kick off the workshop, we'll play some sensory and tasting games. This fun introduction will engage your senses and prepare your taste buds for the main event.
Next, we’ll dive into the tasting portion of the workshop. We’ll take our time to sample 4 exquisite French cheeses, each paired with a local beer or speciality drink from Normandy. While savouring the complex interactions between flavours, we'll discover how the right pairing can elevate both the cheese and the drink to new heights.
After 2 hours in total, we’ll wrap up the workshop, with a newfound appreciation for French cheeses and drinks. À bientôt!
Which Cheeses & Drinks Will We Try?
The variety of cheeses and drinks included in the workshop vary by day, but you can look forward to some of the following delicious French cheeses: DPO Roquefort, DPO Beaufort, PDO Neufchâtel and/or PDO Camembert de Normandie.
The drinks available will be a variation of French beers, IPAs and/or ciders. Children between the ages of 5 and 18 will receive soft drinks as pairings to the cheese. Children under the age of 5 are welcome to join the activity, but won't receive any of the drinks or pairings.
