The guide, Jason, was awesome. We were talking all the time, but also respecting the resting times, that we really needed, because the tour started really soon, but it totally worth it. He picked me up from my hostal and then we were picking the other people of the tour. We watched the stars, the sunrise and, obviously, the Death Valley from different places. I really recommend this tour, it seems like no much people knows about this activity in Civitatis, but that must change. Thanks Jason

Salt flats, mountains, and arid dunes: discover one of the most impressive desert landscapes in the United States on this tour to Death Valley National Park from Las Vegas.

Salt flats, mountains, and arid dunes: discover one of the most impressive desert landscapes in the United States on this tour to Death Valley National Park from Las Vegas.

Death Valley Tour

Despite its name, Death Valley is one of the most beautiful locations in the Mojave Desert. Known for its unforgiving heat in the summer as well as having the lowest elevation in North America.

Having picked you up from your hotel in Las Vegas between 5:45 and 6:30 am, we'll set off on the 1.5-hour drive to the Death Valley National Park, located on the border of Nevada and California.

We'll drive through the arid landscape, making a number of stops to visit some of the most emblematic places, the first of which being at Rest Stop Area 51, a funky souvenir shop with alien-themed everything. From there, we'll stop by Death Valley Nut & Candy Co, then Rhyolite Ghost Town, and finally we'll cross Hell's Gate, the entrance to Death Valley National Park.

At around 10:30 am, we'll be in the vicinity of the famous Mesquite Sand Dunes, and we'll stop for a delicious mid-morning American-style breakfast. From there, we'll continue on to various sightseeing destinations, among which stand out Badwater Basin, an impressive salt flat, located at one of the lowest points on land at 86m (282 feet) below sea level, and Zabriskie Point, a lookout point with spectacular views of the unique landscape.

Throughout our drive around the valley, we'll experience all the incredible things this region has to offer, from towering mountains to low valleys and everything in between: sand dunes, canyons, and multi-colored rolling hills made from mineral formations.

Our final stop before heading back to Las Vegas will be in the town of Pahrump, where we'll pause at a rest stop.

You'll be dropped back off at your hotel in Las Vegas at around 4:15 pm.
