Embark on a fascinating journey from Las Vegas, delving into the rich history and captivating landscapes of Boulder City, the Seven Magic Mountains, the ghost town of Nelson, and the renowned Hoover Dam.
Nevada Desert Combo Tour from Las Vegas
Beginning at your hotel in Las Vegas, our exploration of the desert surroundings unfolds. The first highlight awaits at the Seven Magic Mountains—an outdoor art installation featuring colossal boulder columns set against the desert's orange backdrop. You'll get great opportunities to take pictures of the vibrant contrast in this unique display.
Traversing the Nevada desert, we venture toward the Nelson ghost town, formerly known as El Dorado, due to its 18th-century gold discoveries. Stroll through the remnants of this abandoned village, unveiling its tumultuous history marked by murders, power struggles, and shootings in proximity to the mines.
Next, we visit the Hoover Dam, an engineering marvel and one of the world's largest concrete structures. Gaze upon Lake Mead, a vast artificial reservoir, before delving into the dam's intriguing history.
Our journey continues to Boulder City, which was founded in 1931 to accommodate Hoover Dam construction workers. You'll enjoy two hours of free time to explore the attractions, check out the antique stores, visit the Railroad Museum, explore Frank T. Crowe Memorial Park, and admire street sculptures.
Concluding the seven-hour tour, we return you to your hotel, wrapping up an insightful exploration of Nevada's wonders.
