Cañadon de las Ostras and El Sotano Trip
We'll meet at a time of your choosing in Las Gruta where we hop in an all-terrain truck and head to what is known as Villa de los Pulperos. Here in this picturesque spot of Argentinean Patagonia is where they capture the smallest octopus in the world.
Continuing along the coast of Rio Negro we will arrive at the Piedras Coloradas beach, where we will try sandboarding on the dunes. Sliding on the sand is an experience you will never forget! After this fun activity, we then continue our journey along the so-called pulperos route.
The next stop will be on the coast of El Sótano, which has the highest tidal flow in all of Argentina. You will learn all about how and why this happens here. Then, we will head south to Cañadón de las Ostras: a colossal rock wall where we will observe marine fossils more than 20 million years old.
In this area of Patagonia, we will also raise a farewell toast and enjoy an Argentinean picada, which will include different kinds of cheeses and creole sausages. This is best way to end our fantastic adventure.
Once we have recovered our strength, we will return to the original starting point in Las Grutas, where we will arrive four hours after first setting off.
