Malpaís de Rasca Boat Trip & Snorkelling
Malpaís de Rasca Boat Trip & Snorkelling
At 11 am sharp, we'll board a zodiac-type boat from the Port of Las Galletas and set off on a trip around South Tenerife. Let's explore Malpaís de Rasca!
We'll go on a pleasant boat trip through Malpaís de Rasca, a protected nature reserve that boasts volcanic landscapes as well as its varied and abundant marine fauna.
While we sail, we'll admire the volcanic cones that dominate this landscape, such as Montaña Grande. We'll discuss how these volcanic formations were created, the local flora and fauna, and the fascinating story of a shipwreck that took place near the Punta de Rasca Lighthouse. If we're lucky, we may even spot some dolphins.
It'll then be time to discover Malpaís de Rasca's underwater beauty. We'll drop anchor in a cove so you can put on your wetsuit, snorkel and goggles and jump into the Atlantic Ocean.
You'll spend 1 hour snorkelling in one of Tenerife's most biodiverse marine areas. As you snorkel, you'll be able to see Mediterranean parrotfish, wrasse, both white and bogue seabream and other fish that frequent this reserve. You'll also see sea urchins, starfish, crabs, octopi and more!
Afterwards, we'll return to the boat and finish the activity at 1 pm back at the starting point.
