We'll meet at the indicated time at the Quinta da Portela de Baixo winery in Lamego to begin an exceptional guided tour. Ready to learn more about Portuguese wine? Off we go!
As soon as we arrive at the winery, you'll fall in love with the surrounding countryside, which covers over 15 hectares (37 acres) of vineyards. Next, we'll start a guided winery tour to see its facilities. We'll see the wine production and storage room and the Cellar Museum, where we can delve into the history of Port wine and learn about its production process.
Next, we'll go to the gardens or to a panoramic room, depending on the weather, to taste six types of wine produced at the Quinta da Portela de Baixo winery. These include sparkling wine, DOC Douro white and red wines, and three types of Port wine. Impossible to resist! During the tasting, we'll also pair the drinks with regional products such as bôla, olive oil, cheeses, and jams.
