Valle del Encanto Tour
Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in La Serena and start our journey along the Costa de los Piratas, the road that will take us to the Valle del Encanto. Let the adventure begin!
On the way, we'll give you the option to make a stop at the Limari Archaeological Museum or continue on to the Valle del Encanto. If you decide to visit the museum, you'll find archaeological pieces that have been found in the valley. There are 5 pre-Hispanic cultures on display—a very complete collection!
Our journey will continue and, as soon as we set foot at the entrance to the Valle del Encanto, we'll be on our way. This semi-arid enclave achieved its status as an archaeological site in the 1970s thanks to the large number of remains dating back more than 4,000 years. We'll talk about the symbolism of the engravings on the stones. These traces have a lot of history to tell.
Along the walk, you'll come across small stones with small perforations. What were these rocks used for? How have they kept their shape? Without a doubt, it's an impressive example of rock art in Chile. You'll have the privilege of being in front of the largest monuments of this type in the country.
After exploring the entire archaeological site, we'll meet for lunch at a typical Chilean restaurant. Finally, we'll make our way back to La Serena, where we'll finish this 7-hour trip at your hotel.
