La Serena & Coquimbo Food Tour
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel to begin our food tour of La Serena, where history and local cuisine can be found around every corner.
Our adventure begins with a stroll through the historic center, exploring its colonial architecture and markets. We’ll then visit the Archaeological Museum, diving into the history and culture that have shaped the region’s distinctive flavors.
Next, we’ll head to La Recova market, a treasure trove of traditional products. Here, you can sample local delicacies and shop for handcrafted goods. We’ll then pause for lunch at a traditional restaurant, where you’ll enjoy a tasting of classic Chilean dishes.
The tour continues along the scenic Avenida del Mar, a picturesque promenade leading us to the neighboring city of Coquimbo. Known for its rich fishing heritage, Coquimbo is the perfect place to savor its renowned seafood. At the port, we’ll discover a variety of fresh Pacific catches and indulge in seafood empanadas and ceviche at La Herradura.
From there, we’ll make our way to Totoralillo, a surfer’s paradise. As you soak in the stunning sunset and enjoy the sound of the waves, we’ll treat you to a selection of steamed seafood, a local specialty that perfectly concludes our culinary adventure.
After 6 to 7 hours of unforgettable experiences, we’ll return to your hotel in La Serena, bidding you farewell with a fresh taste of Chile’s coastal charm.
