Day Trip to the Triásico Canyon
Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in La Rioja and head towards the Triassic Canyon. Do you have your camera ready to immortalise one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the region?
In a 4x4 vehicle, we'll travel to the northwest of Argentina along landscapes of dry riverbeds and narrow gorges. Afterwards, we'll enter the Reserva Municipal Colorados de Banda Florida, a protected area where the famous Triásico Canyon is located.
As we continue off-road, we'll discover fascinating facts about this spectacular gorge that is more than 250 million years old. The views of the enormous reddish rock walls that fill the landscape will blow you away!
We'll also learn a lot about the plant life and wildlife of this area of La Rioja. How do you think that the Triásico Canyon changes during times of drought?
Finally, we'll make our way back to your hotel in La Rioja and finish the excursion 3 hours later.
