La Restinga Dolphin & Whale Watching
At 2 pm, we'll meet on Calle Los Saltos in La Restinga and head to the port. We'll board a boat and start cruising through the seas south of El Hierro.
During the boat trip, we'll explore the Mar de las Calmas Marine Reserve and admire El Hierro's volcanic coastline. We'll also try to look out for the numerous dolphin and whale families that live in this area. If we're lucky, we'll be able to spot pilot whales, dolphins and even beaked whales close up.
We'll also use specialised equipment that'll allow us to listen to the sounds made by these animals underwater. You'll also learn lots of fascinating facts about the language and lifestyle that these animals have.
Before returning to dry land, we'll make a stop at Alcuzas Beach where you can take a refreshing dip in the water!
Our activity will finish at 5:15 pm at the La Restinga Harbour.
