Discover the flavours of Bolivia and taste traditional dishes at some of the best restaurants in the city on this food tour of La Paz!

La Paz Food Tour

We'll meet in the Plaza San Francisco square at 6.30 pm to set off on an exciting evening tour and discover the flavours of Bolivia!

Our first stop will be the Mercado Lanza, a market where locals buy fresh produce and tropical fruits. As we explore the market we'll try a delicious vitamin juice and api con pastel, a traditional drink accompanied by a pie!

Next we'll stop at some of the most popular local restaurants in La Paz to try some of the most traditional snacks and dishes from the region. As we tour the historic centre of La Paz, we'll find out all about Bolivian cuisine and the origins of local recipes.

First we'll head to Restaurante Alaya where we'll try some typical Bolivian dishes. We'll taste some chicharrón de cerdo (pork crackling) and the popular fritanga accompanied by a refreshing beer. We'll also visit the colonial restaurant Mirasol to try the singani sour, a famous drink made from the Muscat of Alexandria grape. We'll also try the traditional peanut soup and pique macho, a local dish made of beef, sausages, potatoes and egg. What a treat!

Lastly, we'll visit the Café Higher Ground, one of the most famous bars in La Paz, where we'll end the tour with a local dessert and a glass of wine
