Private Day Trips from La Paz

If you're spending several days in La Paz, why not join us on one of our unforgettable private day trips! Each day trip includes hotel pick up and drop off, transport by private vehicle and an English-speaking guide just for you.

La Paz & Moon Valley Tour (4-5 hours)

We'll start the day trip by taking the La Paz cable car up to the Moon Valley, a labyrinth of curious geological formations.

Then, we'll take a panoramic tour of La Paz, a city full of contrasts. We'll visit the traditional Jaén streetMurillo square, the San Francisco church and the Witches' Market, a window to the world of mysticism. We'll also visit Los Andes Street, famous for its Bolivian folklore.

Valley of Souls & Moon Valley Tour (4-5 hours)

In this option, we'll travel to the Valley of Souls to enter a landscape of whimsical rocks that resemble human figures and petrified animals. There, we'll discover the natural beauty of this unique valley and listen to the legends surrounding it, a place full of mystery and magic!

Next, we'll visit the Valley of the Moon to continue learning about the geology and history of this enchanted place. Afterwards, we'll visit the Killi Killi Viewpoint to contemplate La Paz from the heights, and finally, we'll arrive at the Witches' Market to immerse ourselves in Bolivian culture and tradition. There, we'll find a wide variety of handicrafts, medicinal herbs and amulets.

Tiwanaku Day Trip (10.5 hours)

About 70 kilometres (43 miles) from La Paz lies Tiwanaku, the cradle of the ancient Tiwanaku civilisation. We'll tour this pre-Inca archaeological site, visiting the most important sites, such as the Akapana pyramid, with its perfect cross-shaped floor plan, or Kalasasaya, a ceremonial enclosure that was also used as a calendar.

Afterwards, we'll visit the archaeological museum and the lithic museum of Tiwanaku, where we'll be able to see some of the tools they used or works of art that have required conservation indoors.

Before returning, you'll have an hour and 15 minutes of free time to get lunch in a local restaurant.
