Coroico Coffee Tour
Coroico Coffee Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel in La Paz between 7 am and 7:30 am and then head to the lush Yungas region, which is just 40 miles (65 kilometres) away from the capital.
Here, we'll travel along the famous Yungas Road or Camino de la Muerte (Death Road) until we arrive at the town of Coroico. This charming place is the most visited town on Bolivia's coffee route. At around 12 noon, we'll take a break in the town and have a traditional lunch of soup, meat or salad and dessert and coffee. After lunch, you'll have 2 hours to explore the town at your leisure.
Once we've reconvened, we'll head to the coffee plantations for a guided tour. We'll spend 3 hours touring the coffee plantations and attending a demonstration of the coffee bean roasting process. Bolivian coffee stands out for its pure flavour and is often compared to Colombian coffee, which is one of the world's most popular coffee varieties.
We'll then return to La Paz, where we'll arrive at around 7 pm. Our day trip will finish at San Francisco Square.
