Nurture your spiritual health with a unique purification ritual on our unmissable La Paz Ayahuasca Ceremony. You'll try ayahuasca, a medicinal plant used by Andean shamans to achieve inner strength.
La Paz Ayahuasca Ceremony
When making your booking, you'll be able to choose between a 2, 4 or 8-day spiritual retreat. All options begin with your arrival at 2 pm at the Allkamari Retreat Center in La Paz, where you'll spend a few days disconnecting from your troubles.
2 Day Ceremony
Once you've settled into your room, we'll meet at 5:30 pm for a meditation session lasting 1 hour 30 minutes. We'll then take a break until 9 pm when we'll reconvene in a temple to begin the ceremony. After making the introductions, the shaman will start the ayahuasca healing ritual. We'll drink this well-known concoction while the shaman recites sacred chants and guides us as we seek a connection with the spiritual world.
At 2 am, the ceremony will finish and we'll go back to our rooms. The next morning, we'll wake up at 8 am to have breakfast together and attend a talk that'll help us to process the experience we had the previous night. At 11 am, we'll say our goodbyes feeling reinvigorated.
4 Day Ceremony
This ceremony will be the same as the one detailed in the previous option, but we'll have 1 extra day before the ritual and 2 afterwards. The itinerary will be as follows:
Day 1: You'll arrive at the retreat and have some time to explore the surrounding area and meditate. Afterwards, we'll have dinner and spend the evening around the fire stargazing before retiring for the night.
Day 2: We'll have breakfast and take a morning walk around the mountains and valleys. After lunch, you'll spend the afternoon resting and preparing for the ceremony at 9 pm.
Day 3: After breakfast and a post-ceremony talk, we'll have lunch followed by an afternoon walk in the countryside with stops to meditate surrounded by nature. In the evening, we'll have dinner and convene once more for a final colloquium to discuss the results of the experience.
Day 4: We'll say our goodbyes after breakfast.
Andean 4 Day Ceremony
The itinerary for this retreat will be the same as that of the 4-day experience, but we'll perform an Andean healing ceremony. The difference between the Amazonian ritual and the Andean ritual is that the Andean ritual uses wachuma, which is also called "dream medicine". In addition, the Andean ceremony will last longer (from 9 pm to 7 am) and include a ritual sauna.
8 Day Ceremony
We'll follow the same itinerary as in the previous options as well as attending 3 extra ayahuasca healing ceremonies and consuming a shamanic diet. This diet consists of white rice, fish and green banana, as well as a medicinal plant that further helps the purification of body and soul.
The ayahuasca rituals will take place on the 2nd, 4th and 6th days. The remaining days will be spent relaxing and processing the experience. During your free time, you'll be able to walk through the jungle, swim in the springs, meditate or receive magnetotherapy treatments.
