Hiking and Waterfall Rappelling
Hiking and Waterfall Rappelling
At 10 am we'll pick you up at your hotel in La Merced and head north towards the Kimiri region.
After our road trip, we'll reach the most visited spot in the area: the Kimiri suspension bridge. Of course, we'll cross it on foot, and from here we'll embark on a two-hour trekking route that will take us through the lush vegetation of the Chanchamayo riverbank.
We'll have the opportunity to observe the plant life native to the region, where we'll find trees such as quinos or cascarillas, cedars, and antediluvian ferns.
Once we reach the riverbed, we'll begin our uphill hike in which we'll have to overcome various natural obstacles, such as rocks and waterfalls. This is where we'll take the opportunity to practice rappelling.
After this adventure, we'll reach our next destination: the Tres Reinas waterfalls, where you'll see that every effort has its reward! Once we reach this set of waterfalls of immense beauty, you'll have free time to enjoy its crystal clear waters and swim in the natural pools.
After a while at the waterfalls, we'll take an alternative path through the forest to return to the starting point, where the bus will be waiting to take you back to La Merced. Arrival at your hotel is scheduled for 3 pm.
