Palena River Rafting
Description
We'll meet at the scheduled time, at Number 350 on Calle 5 de Abril and from this point in La Junta, we'll make our way to the banks of the Rosselot River, where we'll get all the necessary equipment set up.
After learning the basic safety rules, we'll paddle for about 1km (0.62 miles) along the Rosselot River until we reach the confluence with the Palena River. There, we'll begin an exciting rafting descent through the river's white waters. Ready for the challenge?
We'll paddle for around 2 hours along the Palena River. This channel is one of the main currents in the Aysén Region, in Chile's Patagonia and flows into Puerto Raúl Marín Balmaceda. The rafting descent will finish at the nearby beach in this area.
Once there, we'll regain some energy with a light snack while we take in the landscape around the Palena River, located between La Junta and Puerto Raúl Marín Balmaceda. As we'll see, this river current traverses a dense, green landscape of Patagonian forests.
Finally, from the beach, we'll return in a vehicle back to the starting point in La Junta, where we'll bring this activity to an end after around 5.5 hours together.
