On this tour of La Guaira, we'll pass down the colonial streets, discovering the archaeological remains and getting some amazing views of the Caribbean Sea. Welcome to the entrance to Venezuela!

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in La Guaira and begin this fascinating guided tour. Let's go!

La Guaira is one of the best places to discover and learn about the history of the country, which was set up to protect the capital. In fact, did you know that there's also a path in La Guaira that connects it to Caracas? It's known as the Path of the Spaniards.

During the tour, we'll explore La Guaira's old town soaking up the colourful colonial-era houses and the vibrant atmosphere. As we walk, we'll see men and women dressed in traditional clothes, something which is very common in the city and is a faithful reflection of the character of the city's people. You'll love it!

Afterwards, we'll make our way to the promenade, also known as the Cinta Costera (Coastal Strip), to take in some incredible views of Venezuela's Caribbean coastline. To finish up this tour, we'll make our way to check out the latest archaeological finds in the vaults of the walled city.

We'll see remains that were left by the Spanish during their time in La Guaira and which were once used at jails. It'll be like travelling back in time!

Finally, after a total of between three and four hours discovering the charms of this coastal city, we'll return to the hotels
