Venado Caves Trip
After picking you up at your hotel at the scheduled time, we will begin our adventure by heading to the Venado Caves, about 45 minutes from La Fortuna. These magical grottoes are about 15 million years old and were discovered by the Guatuso Indigenous Peoples.
After equipping ourselves as genuine cavers, flashlights, headlamps, and waterproof clothing, we will descend into the depths of the earth to discover the mysteries it hides. The interior of these caves is a kingdom of rocky formations such as stalactites and stalagmites where species that seek humid environments such as bats, crabs, and frogs live.
During our two-hour tour, crossing subterranean rivers and seabeds, we will observe curious natural sculptures the birth, the papaya, the coral, and the altar. Once our adventure is over, we will enjoy a fresh fruit snack to regain our strength before returning to our hotels.
