Farm Ranch Tour
We will pick you up from your hotel at 10 am before heading to an agro-ecological farm located about 3 miles from La Fortuna, in a village called Agua Azul.
The inhabitants will welcome us with a delicious natural fruit juice that we will enjoy while observing the work that goes on at the farm. Among their objectives are the preservation of traditional culture and the sustainable use of natural resources.
After this presentation, we will visit the stables, where you will have the opportunity to milk a cow, an experience that is especially fun for the little ones. Then, we will get an up-close insight into the traditional processes of distilling the liquor and extracting the cane juice while we enjoy a tasting of these products.
We will continue to sweeten the palate by tasting the fruit and the chocolate of the artisan cocoa and observing how they elaborate it with the help of indigenous utensils. We will also take the opportunity to visit an ecological medicinal plant garden.
Finally, to conclude this wonderful agro-gastronomic experience, we will enjoy a tasty lunch made of farm products, such as cheese, tortillas, picadillo, and coffee. We will leave the place with the feeling of having been authentic Costa Rican farmers for a day.
We will arrive at the hotel in La Fortuna around 2 pm.
