Up for an adrenaline rush? In this canyoning activity in La Fortuna, we'll rappel down waterfalls at the entrance of the Arenal Volcano!

Canyoning in La Fortuna

We'll pick you up at the time of your choice at your hotel in La Fortuna and we'll travel by minibus to the outskirts of the city.

After a short drive, we'll arrive at the community of Santa Gertrudis. Here we'll board a 4x4 vehicle that will take us to the base camp where we'll put on our helmets, harnesses, and other safety equipment. Once equipped, we'll give you the safety rules that you need to follow during the activity.

Then, we'll begin by walking along a trail through a luscious tropical rainforest. At the end of the trail, the first of 3 waterfalls awaits us! Along the route, we'll canyon down walls that are between 75.5 and 164 feet (23-50 meters) high. Are you ready for an adventure?

Afterwards, we'll return to the base camp so you can change clothes and recharge your batteries with a delicious traditional lunch. The menu includes a typical Costa Rican dish and juice.

Following lunch, we'll finally return to La Fortuna and arrive at your hotel 3-4 hours after pickup.
