Description
At 7 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in La Ceiba and head to the Sambo Creek Tourist Center, where a boat awaits to transport us to the beautiful Cayos Cochinos.
After a scenic 40-minute boat ride, we'll arrive at Cayo Bolaños, a charming small islet with pristine white sands and crystal-clear waters. If you're up for it, feel free to take a refreshing dip in the inviting waters.
Our journey then continues to Cayo Menor, where we'll visit the Scientific Research Station. Here, we'll watch a short video about the Natural Marine Monument of the archipelago, providing valuable insights into the area's ecological wonders.
Now, get ready for an incredible snorkeling experience as we head to Cayo Mayor. Explore the vibrant underwater world and witness a part of the awe-inspiring Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. But that's not all! We'll also take a guided hike through the island's lush vegetation, in search of the elusive pink boa, a fascinating yet dangerous endemic snake.
After our adventurous walk, we'll board the boat once again and make our way to Cayo Chachahuate. Here, you'll have 2 hours of free time to have lunch, swim, and bask under the glorious Honduran sun.
As the day comes to a close, we'll head back to Sambo Creek and, from there, to your hotel, arriving around 3 pm.
