I thought we were just going on a mountain excursion and it has been a phenomenal trip in which you end up in the middle of nowhere, on a virgin beach with only the sun, the waves and the wind as a witness. The going is demanding but Isidro's instructions from previous days help to prepare it. In addition to being assured, which is very good for the geographical location, you know details of the flora, fauna and geology of the landscape. Isidro very close at all times. It is a trip that we will recommend.

If you're a nature enthusiast, then this hiking adventure in the Güi Güi reserve is just for you! Get ready to immerse yourself in the fresh air, discover pristine beaches, and traverse the towering cliffs of western Gran Canaria.

Description

We'll kick off our hiking adventure, into the captivating Güi Güi Special Nature Reserve at the designated time. Are you ready to take in the stunning sights?

Our journey begins with an ascent to the Degollada de Agua Sabina, a viewpoint that treats us to breathtaking panoramic views of the coastal massif within the Güi Güi reserve.

After taking in the scenery, we'll make our descent through mountains that have stood tall for over 14 million years. Along the way, we'll have the chance to admire the unique plants & wildlife native to the western part of the island. Our path will lead us through rugged ravines and towering cliffs, revealing why this region is designated as a Special Conservation Area.

Our trek will eventually bring us to the pristine beaches of western Gran Canaria. These sandy coves appear untouched by human presence, accessible only by boat or on foot. Here, you can take a refreshing dip, relax, and, if you've packed a picnic, it's the perfect spot to refuel.

Following our time at the beach, we'll start our return journey, arriving back at our starting point 9 hours later.

Pickup

The tour includes pickup from the accommodations within the following areas of Gran Canaria:

  • San Nicolás Village
  • Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
