On this tour, we'll visit Nara, the first capital of Japan, and the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shinto sanctuary, an incredibly beautiful place that starred in the film "Memoirs of a Geisha".
Itinerary
After picking you up from your hotel, we'll take the train to Inari to visit the Fushimi Inari Taisha Temple.
Fushimi Inari Taisha is a Shinto sanctuary dedicated to the Deity Inari, associated with fertility, rice, agriculture and business success. With thousands of precious red toriis showing the route up the hill, this temple became famous worldwide thanks to the film "Memoirs of A Geisha".
Our next stop will be Nara, the first capital of Japan (between 710-784). We'll visit two huge temples that were built at this time: Kofukuji (with a spectacular pagoda) and Todaiji (the largest wooden structure in the world).
Then, we'll explore the majestic Nara Park, full of deer—the ancient messengers of the Gods.
The tour will come to an end at the central station in Kyoto.
