Having picked you up from your hotel in Kuala Lumpur, we'll make our way to Kuala Selangor, a delightful coastal spot just an hour from the Malaysian capital.
Our first stop will be the Bukit Melawati hill, home to the remains of an old 18th-century fort which still has its original cannons, and from where we'll contemplate the Western coast of the Malay peninsula.
Hungry yet? Before our next stop, we'll enjoy a wonderful typical dinner in a local restaurant.
The excursion then continues towards one of the most famous areas of Kuala Selangor: Kampung Kuantan. The reason for its striking popularity are the populations of fireflies that inhabit the area, making it one of the largest and most famous colonies of these insects in the world.
We'll take a boat trip around the Selangor River, as these fireflies illuminate the banks of the river – a fascinating natural spectacle!
After our cruise, we'll make our way back to Kuala Lumpur and return 8 hours after our departure.
