Tour details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the cruise terminal to begin our tour of southern Bonaire!
Over the next two hours, we'll make brief stops to discover the main attractions of this Caribbean island in the Netherlands. We'll start by passing by the Marriott Courtyard Bonaire Dive Resort, one of the most luxurious hotels in the area.
Afterward, we'll head to Flamingo International Airport, known for its striking pink color. Do you like to take pictures? Well, now is the time to put it into practice, because next we'll visit the famous salt flats of Bonaire. We'll admire its spectacular salt mountains and the striking contrast of the blue of the ocean with the pink water of this area. Did you know that it produces 400,000 tons of salt per year?
After this stop, we'll travel to the past approaching White Slaves, perfect to learn about the history of the old slave cabins that can still be found on the island. We'll then continue the tour approaching the Pekelmeer Flamingo Sanctuary, one of the only four areas in the world where flamingos reproduce. Located in a large salt marsh on the southern tip of the island, it's home to more than 10,000 flamingos—a sight to remember!
Skirting the coast, we'll pass the Willemstoren lighthouse until we reach Sorobon Beach, a hotspot for windsurfing.
Finally, after a 4-hour tour, we'll return to the starting point and conclude the activity.
