On this guided tour of the Wawel Castle, we'll explore the heart of one of the most iconic places in Krakow and visit its subterranean area.
Wawel Castle Tour
At the appointed time we'll meet at 25 Kanonicza, 33-332 to begin our guided tour of Wawel Castle. Located at the top of Wawel Hill, this fortress was the residence of the Polish royal family until 1795 and has become an absolute symbol of Krakow.
Entering Wawel Castle's corridors, we'll journey through the grandeur of Poland's past. Did you know that all the Polish monarchs who ruled between the 14th and 17th centuries have been crowned and buried here?
We'll visit the elegant halls of this Renaissance-style building and see the private apartments, decorated with tapestries, chandeliers, and several works of art.
Today, the castle serves as a museum exhibiting objects found during archaeological excavations in the region, models, and even a collection of oriental art.
Before the end of the tour, we'll access the underground areas of the fortress, passages that will uncover all the secrets of this famous place. Finally, after a total of 3.5 hours, the tour will come to an end.
