Join us on the guided tour of one of Poland's most important historical places. Wawel hill is where Polish royalty reigned over the country for centuries, and it's full of fascinating monuments and secrets!
Tour of Wawel Royal Hill
At the scheduled time, we'll meet up on the famous Kanonicza street, where the greatest treasure in the history of Poland was discovered. We'll learn about this legendary discovery as we begin walking up the charming cobblestone street toward Wawel Hill.
Once we arrive, we'll find two of Krakow's most important historical buildings: the cathedral and the castle of Wawel. As we admire these monuments, the local guide will reveal important Polish historical facts and lots of secrets about the royals.
As we stroll through the grounds, we'll also learn other fascinating stories, like how the alchemical experiments of Sigismund III Vasa led to the biggest fire of Wawel Castle and the consequences of that event. We'll also see the place where the only bomb dropped on Wawel landed during World War II, as well as the famous Wawel Hill dragon, which has a beautiful panoramic view of southern Krakow behind it. Get your cameras ready!
Finally, after an hour and a half of exploring and learning about Polish history, our tour will come to an end.
