Ao Thalane Kayak Tour

When making your booking, you'll be able to choose between a half-day and a full-day kayak tour. Both options include pickup from your hotel, an English-speaking guide, kayaking equipment and lunch.

Half-Day Kayak Tour

Having picked you up from your hotel, we'll set off to one of the most beautiful hidden bays in the province of Krabi. After a 30-minute drive, we'll arrive at a charming fishing village. Welcome to Ao Thalane!

When we get to our destination, we'll explain how to use the kayaks. We'll then start rowing and exploring this spectacular natural area, which is considered the kayaking capital of Krabi province.

As we row, we'll travel through lush mangrove swamps, limestone canyons and caves. We'll discuss the diversity of the fish and crustacean species that inhabit this area, which is also why fishing has been the main source of livelihood here for centuries.

At the end of our kayaking activity, we'll head back to Krabi, where we'll drop you off at your hotel.

Full-Day Kayak Tour

If you'd like to spend longer having fun kayaking, you can choose our full-day tour. We'll pick you up from your hotel in Krabi and then take you to the pier where you'll board the boat that'll take you to your destination. Ao Thalane awaits!

Once we've arrived, we'll discuss how to use the kayaks and then start our guided tour of the area. With your oar in your hand, you'll travel through the mangroves and famous canyons of Ao Thalane while admiring the beautiful scenery around you.

After kayaking, we'll take a 1-hour lunch break. You'll then have 2 more hours to kayak around this paradisiacal area at your leisure.

Following an unforgettable day, we'll drop you off at your hotel.

Pickup and schedules

The tour includes hotel pickup in Krabi Town, Klong Muang and Ao Nang. Pickup from Ao Nang is at no additional cost, as is pickup in Krabi Town as long as at least two people are picked up. If not, you'll be charged 100 THB (US$ 2.92) per person. Pickup from Klong Muang costs 100TBH per person. These supplement charges will be paid to the driver on the day. 

The starting times are as follows:

• Half-day tour: 8:30 am or 1:30 pm
• Full-day tour: 8:30 am

Guided Service

If you do not have experience with kayaks, you can request the assistance of a guide for 300 THB (US$ 8.78) per person. This payment is made directly on site.
