Black Lake, Ostrog Monastery + Žabljak Tour
Black Lake, Ostrog Monastery + Žabljak Tour
Depending on your selection, we'll meet in either Kotor or Budva and board a minibus to explore the most beautiful landscapes and villages of northern Montenegro.
First, we'll make two short photo stops in the villages of Perast and Risan. Afterward, we'll arrive in Nikšić, where you'll be free to have breakfast at your leisure before heading to the famous Đurđevića Tara Bridge. The huge concrete arches and immense height will leave you speechless- it's in one of the deepest canyons in Europe!
We'll also visit the town of Žabljak, where we'll leave with an hour of free time to grab a bite to eat. Then we'll drive through the Durmitor National Park to Black Lake, where you'll have another hour free for swimming and hiking. It's the largest in the national park and you'll love its emerald and turquoise waters and the high mountains and forests surrounding the lake.
For the last part of the excursion, we'll visit the Ostrog Monastery, one of the most mysterious temples in the Balkans. We'll go back to the 17th century to reveal the history of this important monument of the Orthodox Church.
Finally, we'll conclude the excursion back at the starting point after an adventure of approximately 13-14.5 hours.
