A spectacular orthodox cathedral and a large bazaar await us in this guided tour of Korçë, one of the most fascinating cities in southeastern Albania!
Tour of Korçë
At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of the Orthodox Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ to start this guided tour of Korçë.
This cathedral was converted into a museum during the communist regime and had not returned to its religious function until 2004. After admiring the spectacular facade of this temple, we'll pass by the Museum of Education. Did you know that this building housed the first school in the Albanian language in 1887?
The tour will then continue in the Old Bazaar of Korçë. Decorated in the Ottoman style, this commercial space is one of the main tourist attractions of the city. Here you can find everything: bags, clothes, lamps, cosmetics, spices, porcelain pieces...
We'll visit some of its most popular stalls, and then continue to the Mirahori Mosque and the Andon Zako Cajup Theater. Finally, we'll walk through the cobblestone streets of Korçë to the first brewery in Albania, which dates back to 1928.
Finally, after a 2-hour tour, we'll conclude the guided tour by strolling through the most central streets of the old town of Korçë.
