Become a certified diver with this PADI Open Water Diving Course. You'll learn the skills you need to dive safely without the need for an instructor.
PADI Open Water Diving Course in Koh Samui
To become certified divers you must first pass an online theory exam to start the practical section. We'll send you the passwords with plenty of time so that you can complete the course from the comfort of your home, without the need to lose time during your travels.
Once you've completed the theory course, you'll be ready to meet in the Koh Samui dive centre to start your PADI Open Water course.
Day 1: Confined waters practice
On the first day, we'll go to your hotel in Koh Samui at 8:30 am to take you to the dive centre. Here you'll fill in a medical form and start the first practice session in confined waters. Are you ready?
We'll put on our equipment and head to the pool to practise the exercises seen throughout the theory work. Here we'll practise helping our companion if they run out of oxygen, floating, how to put the mask on and many more exercises.
After the first session, we'll take you back to your hotel at 2:45 pm.
Day 2 & 3: Dives in open waters
We'll spend the second and third day carrying out four dives in open waters, which are necessary for completing your PADI Open Water course. On both days we'll pick you up from your hotel at 7 am to take you to the boat.
The chosen dive sites will be Koh Tao and Sail Rock, depending on the sea conditions. These two enclaves are fantastic to test your diving abilities and obtain your certificate.
We'll practise putting on our equipment and checking our companion, how to orient ourselves with the compass under the sea and how to take our vests off when we're submerged. Also, you'll get the chance to discover different areas around the Gulf of Thailand and see its many different species. The best way to learn is to enjoy yourself!
After completing all of the exercises, we'll head back to land and you'll receive your PADI Open Water certificate. Then we'll take you back to your hotel at 3:30 pm.
Lunch
Lunch is included during the course days. We'll offer you a delicious buffet-style lunch consisting of rice, noodles, salad, fish and fresh fruit.
Important Information
This activity includes pick up at hotels located in the centre of Koh Samui. If you're staying in the western or southern areas of the island, you must pay an additional fee of 800 TBH (26 USD approx.) per person on the day of the activity.
