With the PADI Open Water Diver Course you can become a certified diver with a qualification that's valid all over the world!

PADI Open Water Diving

If you've been diving before and loved the experience, the PADI Open Water Diver Course may be the next step for you as it will certify you as a freelance diver worldwide and you'll be qualified to dive up to 18 metres.

Day 1: Confined Water Theory and Practice

On day 1 we'll pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 am and take you to the diving centre where you'll be given a theory lesson on everything you need to know to pass the multiple-choice test at the end of the day. You'll learn about how pressure changes at different depths, the components of diving equipment and diving safety, among many other things.

Afterwards, we'll head to a beach with calm waters to practise the exercises you'll have to carry out over the next two days in open water. We'll practice manoeuvres such as emptying our goggles, setting up equipment and buoyancy.

At 5 pm we'll finish the first part of the PADI Open Water Diver Course and take you back to your hotel.

Days 2 and 3: Open Water Diving

Day 2 and 3 will be when you really test your diving skills. We'll pick you up from your hotel in Koh Mak and take you to the boat in which you'll sail out across the sea to reach the best diving spots in the area. Depending on the sea conditions, we'll either dive in Koh Rang or Koh Kood, both exceptional places.

Each day we'll do two dives of around one hour, depending on how long it takes you to use up your oxygen. During the dives, we'll descend to a maximum depth of 18 metres and we'll carry out all the exercises we need for the certification. You'll carry out orientation, how to remove and put on equipment underwater and how to assist a diving partner if they run out of oxygen

After you've completed all the exercises, we'll return to the mainland where we'll give you your PADI Open Water Diver Certificate and take you back to your hotel. If we've been diving in Koh Kood we'll arrive by 3 pm and if we've been diving in Koh Rang we'll arrive by 5 pm.

Lunch

Lunch is included on every day of the course. We'll offer you a delicious buffet menu consisting of rice, noodles, salad, fresh fish, chicken and fresh fruit.
