Dolphin Sighting Experience
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet in Thesen Harbour Town. Here, you'll be given your lifejackets and a short chat about the activity that's about to take place. Afterwards, we'll walk towards the Knysna harbour to hop on a boat and begin this amazing experience out among the dolphins.
We'll sail along the Knysna estuary until we arrive at the imposing Knysna Heads cliffs, 2 prominent rocks that dominate the area. Once there, we'll enter the vast Indian Ocean.
As we continue sailing, we'll have the chance to spot 3 different species of dolphin: the bottlenose, the common dolphin and the humpback dolphin. The latter dolphin will prove to be a very special sighting if we manage to spot one, as it's currently considered an endangered species. As well as these intelligent mammals, we'll also have the opportunity to see Cape seals, African penguins and even sharks.
Along with the dolphin sighting part of this tour, we'll also have some stunning views of the coastline along the famous Garden Route, one of the most beautiful roads in South Africa. This experience will be filled with some unforgettable views!
After an hour and a half of sailing, we'll finally return to the meeting point to bring this experience to an end.
