Kingston Art Galleries Tour
Kingston Art Galleries Tour
We’ll come and pick you up from your hotel and from there, we’ll make our way to the port area of Kingston. Our first stop will be at the National Gallery of Jamaica, the country’s most important art gallery. Are you ready to explore the treasures inside?
We’ll explore this gallery for an hour and a half, admiring and analysing its collection, which houses works by Jamaican artists such as Kapo Reynolds, Baugh Cecil, Albert Huie, Abrahams Carl, and Manley Edna. You’re sure to be impressed!
At midday, you’ll have some free time to grab some lunch (not included), and then we’ll continue with the tour. Our next stop will be dedicated to street art, and you’ll be able to take a better look at some of the incredible murals that decorate the capital. This is an excellent opportunity to get a sense of the country’s vibrant culture.
After this, we’ll head to the Grosvenor Gallery; this is made up of four halls where you’ll find paintings, drawings, sculptures, and ceramic figures. We’ll end the tour by visiting a local artist’s studio and then, finally, we’ll drop you back at your hotel at around 6 pm.
