Ring of Kerry Tour
Ring of Kerry Tour
Between 9 am and 9:45 am, we'll see you at your chosen meeting point in Killarney. We'll hop on a minibus and start exploring the Ring of Kerry, one of the most picture-perfect spots in Ireland.
The first stop of the day will be at Kerry Bog Village, where we'll take a journey through time to Ireland in the 18th century. As we explore this open-air museum in Glenbeigh, the only one of its kind in all of Europe, we'll learn about the rural lifestyle that people in this area once had in a unique way.
After wandering through thatched cottages and old restaurants, we'll head to Caherviseen, one of the westernmost towns in Europe. Here, we'll visit the Daniel O'Connell Memorial Church. This church was named after Daniel O'Connell, also hailed as 'The Liberator', who was one of Ireland's key historical figures.
Our tour will continue to the village of Waterville, which is nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and Lough Currane. This village is so delightful that Charlie Chaplin himself spent over a decade holidaying here. To commemorate this, Waterville boasts a bronze statue of the comic actor in the centre of the village.
You'll have 1 hour of free time to have lunch in a local restaurant in Waterville. After lunch, we'll reconvene and get back to the winding roads in the Ring of Kerry. We'll cross the Coomakista Pass and arrive at Sneem, an enchanting town full of colourful houses.
In the final stretch of the tour, we'll see magnificent views of Killarney National Park from the Ladies View lookout point. You'll gaze out at the incredible sight of the park's mountains, forests and lakes.
It'll then be time to return to the starting points, where we'll arrive between 4 pm and 4:45 pm.
