Kaunas Castle Guided Tour
Kaunas Castle Guided Tour
At 10 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel and drive to visit the oldest defensive construction in Lithuania: Kaunas Castle.
Located between the rivers Neris and Nemunas, this castle, considered by many to be "haunted", has been the home of numerous stories and legends since its construction in 1361. As soon as we arrive, we'll admire the immense Gothic fortress and learn the role it played in the defense of the city over the centuries.
Did you know that it was the first castle made of stone in the whole territory of Lithuania? We'll reveal all the secrets of the Kaunas fortress, from the usefulness of its two rows of walls to the legend of its owner, Bona Sforza - she used to lock her army in the dungeons!
What's more, while touring the interior of Kaunas Castle, we'll also enjoy the various interactive exhibitions that recount the most significant events the fortress has borne witness to.
After two hours of exploring the castle, we'll escort you back to your hotel in Kaunas.
