Description
We'll pick you up at your hotel at the designated time to begin our Kauai Movie Tour. Did you know that scenes from several feature films have been shot on this Hawaiian island? During the tour, we'll visit places that movie buffs will recognize instantly!
First, we'll start the route at Ahukini Pier, which appears in movies like Pagan Love Song and Donovan's Reef, from the 50s and 60s, respectively.
The next stop will be at Lydgate Beach, which was the beautiful backdrop for the Elvis Presley film Blue Hawaii. The Opaekaa Waterfall also appears in this feature film in which the King of Rock starred alongside Angela Lansbury and Nancy Walters. Did you know that this waterfall is over 131 feet (40 meters) high?
Then, we'll head to the Kilauea Lighthouse on the northern tip of Kauai. This place inspired one of the scenes of the Disney movie Lilo & Stitch and was in operation until the 1970s. We'll also take the opportunity to visit the village of Kapa'a, where one of the most famous scenes of the Jurassic Park saga was filmed.
Halfway through the excursion, we'll stop for some free time so that you can grab some lunch if you wish. After refueling, we'll visit the charming Hanalei Pier and stroll through its art galleries.
Finally, we'll end the tour by taking you back to the hotel, where we'll arrive after a total of eight hours.
