During this excursion through Peek A Boo Canyon, located north of Kanab, we'll walk along the awe-inspiring 30-meter high (100 feet) red cliff walls, and you'll be able to take breathtaking pictures of the unique landscapes.
Peek A Boo Canyon Tour
We'll meet at the Kane County Information Center at the appointed time and head about 16 kilometres (10 miles) north of Kanab.
Here we'll come across one of the most famous natural monuments of the area, the Red Canyon, better known as Peek A Boo. It's no wonder where this maze-like landscape of imposing gorges and deep passages got its name from.
Once we arrive, we'll enjoy a hike through the winding trails. The access to the canyon is through a sandy track and a short section through rolling dune fields. Once we're immersed between the rock walls, you'll be amazed by the reddish sandstone landscapes of the gorge, which in some parts reaches 30 meters (100 feet) tall.
We'll take advantage of the hours that the sunlight hits the canyon at the best angle so that you can take spectacular pictures. You'll see that Peek A Boo, despite not being as popular as other canyons in Utah or Arizona, is just as breathtaking and impressive. And since it's less touristic, we'll be able to stroll quietly through its galleries without having to dodge large crowds.
At the end of the tour, we'll drive back to Kanab and drop you off at the meeting point around 12:30 pm.
